The more partners we have, the more we can accomplish!
Partnership is open to all and there are various levels of partnership, each with its own benefits.
OverviewThis Partnership Program provides benefits similar to the predecessor tranSMART Foundation Membership Program, and enables partners to participate in i2b2 tranSMART Foundation activities and to advise the Foundation board, executive management team and Project Management Committees (PMCs). This document outlines the details for the i2b2 tranSMART Foundation Partnership Program, which includes four specific partner levels: Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Academic. The tranSMART Foundation was historically a member- supported organization. The Membership Program was a paid sponsorship program that entitled members to participate in the governance of the Foundation. The merger of the tranSMART Foundation with the i2b2 Foundation created a merit-based group of individual stakeholders (members) that participate in the governance of the Foundation, and a Partnership Program that engages with industry and academic concerns to further the goals and interests of the community. The details on the new Membership Program are available in a separate document.
Corporate and Academic Foundation Partnership ProgramThe Foundation has created a program to engage with the non-profit, commercial and academic communities to provide input into the development and governance of the projects being executed by the Foundation, and to provide a sustaining revenue stream to fund the activities of the Foundation. Foundation partners are invited to participate in the Foundation’s Marketplace and Business Advisory Board (based upon partnership level), and are provided with discounted marketing and advertising opportunities. Foundation partners are able to participate in the various working groups and related activities that make up the Foundation community.
Five benefits to joining the Partnership Program:
- Engagement with the Foundation board of directors;
- Participation in the Business Advisory Board;
- Participation in the 3C Committees
- Participation in Foundation projects and events;
- Co-Marketing opportunities. As the community grows, we will continue to expand the benefits we offer the Foundation partners.
Partnership LevelsThe Foundation Board Platinum, Gold and Academic partners are invited to participate in the board dinners that are held in conjunction with the two annual in-person board meetings. This provides those partners with an opportunity to discuss issues important to the partner organizations and the Foundation in a casual setting with board members. In addition, Platinum partners can request a 10-minute presentation slot once a year at a board meeting, to present key issues to the board for their review and consideration. These benefits recognize the investments made by the Platinum, Gold and Academic-level partners in the ongoing development and operations of the Foundation.
Business Advisory BoardThe Business Advisory Board Gold, Platinum and Academic partners may serve on the Business Advisory Board, which provides a mechanism for partners to engage with and advise the Foundation board of directors, management team and chairs of the Project Management Committees (PMCs).
